Antenna of back glass

At such type of antennas as the antenna on reception of SV two metal conductors in the top of glass act. For reception of VHF (FM) other conductors acting at the same time wire heating elemet serve. The antenna amplifier located under a covering of the left back rack compensates the insufficient height of this antenna system.

Are behind the left covering of a back rack:


1 – connection of the antenna on reception of VHF (FM); 2 – the general connection of heating of back glass and the antenna on reception of SV;	3 – amplifier of the antenna.

The point of "weight" (shooter) for heating of back glass and the antenna of back glass is on the right back rack. On an illustration the rack is shown with the removed covering.

Search of malfunctions of the antenna of back glass

PERFORMANCE ORDER

To remove coverings of both back racks.
To check connection for "mass" of heating of back glass at the right rack; further to check connection on "mass" (case) of the antenna amplifier on his fixing bolt.
Attentively to check conductors on back glass: whether it is possible to find visible interruption? If yes, to repair that by means of a conducting silver varnish or to replace this glass with the new.
Now it is necessary to be engaged in electric check: to separate plugs of the amplifier, to measure tension on on "weight". For this purpose to turn on radio.
Existence of tension: supply with power supply of the amplifier as it should be. Tension is absent: to eliminate a rupture of a chain.
In the same wire to measure current between connection of the amplifier and the removed wire.
The ampermeter has to show 30 — 50 ma, otherwise the antenna amplifier does not receive food and is respectively faulty – to replace.
Further: to disconnect the lower wire of heating of back glass, to include ignition and heating of back glass, to measure tension in a wire.
The wire has to be energized the battery, otherwise wires or the amplifier are faulty. To narrow a troubleshooting circle.
To disconnect the lower wire from the amplifier, to measure tension at the included ignition and heating of back glass:
If the device shows battery tension, so wires as it should be, that is the amplifier is faulty. Otherwise all on the contrary.
