Replenishment of a washer reservoir of glasses

Continuous check

Suspension from exhaust gases, evaporations of oil and silicone from conditioning agents behind a varnish are constantly postponed on glasses. In a warm season therefore it is recommended to add detergent to water; in the winter nonfreezing liquid is necessary.

After removal of a plastic cover of a waterproof casing there are available three fixing screws (1, 2 and 3) of levers of a screen wiper.

On an illustration on the right the engine of a screen wiper (1) is removed from the lever. On the drive (2) carving openings of fixing screws (arrow) are visible. As there has to be a crank of the drive (3) at installation, shows drawing: shift from a parallel on
a = 6 ° to an average axis of the engine.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The bulk branch pipe for water is at the left in a motor compartment near a broad tank of cooling liquid. The tank includes about 4 l on the models which are not equipped with system of washing of headlights if the car is equipped with similar system, the tank contains about 6,5 l.
  2. At first it is necessary to pour in detergent, only then water in order that these liquids well mixed up in a tank.
  3. If the car is not equipped with system of heating of vpryskny nozzles, they can freeze in hard frosts.
  4. For prevention of it the increased concentration of nonfreezing liquid is recommended. Impurity of the denatured alcohol can bring in a combination in the anti-freezing means to formation of flakes therefore nozzles can be hammered.
  5. Embedding of the ordinary petrol filter in the pipeline of system of washing of glasses prevents obstruction of the washing nozzles.
  6. System of washing of back glass at Audi 80/Avant (station wagon): the tank for water with a rotary bulk branch pipe is under a cover on the right in a luggage compartment.

Regulation of the spraying stream

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To insert a needle into an opening of the spraying nozzle.
  2. The opening is in a ball which can be turned by means of a needle.
  3. To turn a nozzle until the water stream, as shown in drawing, does not start getting on glass.

The nozzles which are warmed up electrically

Directly before nozzles there is a metal case with the heating resistor. With inclusion of ignition (plug X) on this resistance current arrives. Nozzles quickly thaw thanks to the high current arriving at first (0,5 — 0,7 And). For keeping of temperature current after a phase of heating falls to exactly 200 ma. If external temperature makes minus15 °C and below, the supporting current increases to 320 ma.

Search of malfunctions

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To separate shtekerny connection to a nozzle.
  2. At the included ignition to check the voltmeter, whether tension and whether as it should be contact on "weight" arrives.
  3. Otherwise to look for conducting damage.
  4. If with food everything is all right, it is necessary to replace a nozzle.

Thus it is necessary to establish nozzles of system of washing of glasses:
