Regular servicing

Maintenance terms

For our with Audi 80 the following instructions on servicing work:

  • Technical inspection with simultaneous check on toxicity of the fulfilled gases – once a year.
  • Technical inspection with additional works everyone 30 000 and 60 000 passable km.
  • Oil replacement if in a year the car passes more than 15 000 km, thereby exceeding a year interval of checks. For those who runs in a year big run (more than 15 000 km), and for carrying out regular checks uses services of auto repair shops, there can be adverse "crossings". At 20 000 km a year replacement of oil has to be made already before year check. For this purpose, who passes 25 000 km in a year, it is better to carry out 30 000-kilometer inspection after the expiration of a year interval. Well, and those who does everything itself, can solve necessarily as when they want to make.
  • Each two years drivers of Audi need to replace brake fluid.

Principle of work

The numerous control units installed in Audi are capable to independent diagnostics. In this row it is possible to call control units of system of injection, system of ignition (model with the 5-cylinder engine), anti-blocking system, EDS (electronic blocking of differential), a safety cushion or the conditioner. The control unit can be connected to diagnostic installation in a workshop by connection to the central plug for connection of the diagnostic center on the case of the central distributing device of the car.

The correct use of opportunities of poll of memory of the store of malfunction has to take place so: the driver comes on the Audi to a workshop, and even before any works the car connect to diagnostic installation. Example

  • The 85-strong engine with system of injection of Digifant at full loading finds insufficient power. Artfully, it not all the time such weak-willed, but only from time to time

The store of malfunctions of various monitors is interrogated by means of this diagnostic unit. In the block of safety locks (the central switchboard) there are plug connections (on shooters) to which it is possible to connect the V-A-G 1551 diagnostic unit.
