Check of level of oil in the main transfer of an automatic transmission

The oil grade is applied to the main transfer of an automatic transmission, excellent that is applied in a mechanical transmission. It has to have viscosity of SAE 90 and one of the following specifications:

API GL 5 - MIL-L-2105B

Replacement of oil is not provided, however it is necessary to control oil level,

  • if the case of the main transfer is outside soiled by oil or
  • the ATF level in an automatic transmission rose or fell without signs of external leakage. In this case, perhaps, "exchange" of lubricant means between planetary transfer and the main transfer as it is described in the previous section took place. Control of level of oil happens according to the scheme described in the previous section.
