Balancing of wheels

Not balanced wheels are shown by vibration of a steering or a potryakhivaniye before. Both effects are especially strongly noticeable at operedelenny speeds. The reason – in uneven distribution of weight on a wheel. Therefore wheels have to be balanced statically and dynamically. For this purpose there are two methods:


  1. The wheel is removed from the car and establish on the balancing machine. There it rotates in the skilled mode. The imbalance which is shown thus can be counterbalanced by placement of lead freights.
  2. Neutralization of the last imbalances requires carrying out exact balancing. Thus also imbalances of a nave of a wheel and a brake disk are counterbalanced. The wheels established on front-wheel Audis 80 are given by force of the engine to necessary fast rotation, showing a residual imbalance. It is counterbalanced again lead freights.
  3. At all-wheel drive Audi 80 cars for carrying out exact balancing it is necessary to lift all 4 wheels.
  4. Due to the lack of own drive back wheels of front-wheel models for carrying out dynamic balancing are given by the electric motor with a frictional disk.
