Malfunctions and independent diagnostics The control unit of system of injection of Mono-Motronic can distinguish and write down part of malfunctions which arise during operation of the engine in memory. If malfunction did not arise again during the subsequent 10 starts of the engine (sporadic malfunction), it is automatically erased from memory of the control unit. Information on constantly arising failures is read out at inspection check in a workshop by means of the special device; in house conditions this work cannot be executed. If you suspect malfunction of management of ignition/injection, it is possible to decipher indications of the store of malfunctions only in a workshop. In addition you can use our list of malfunctions in which we provided a large number of possible failures, even such which not to establish by own diagnostics. After elimination of malfunctions memory of the store of malfunctions is erased by the reading device. |
