Removal and installation of the mechanical transmission (T)

Removal of a mechanical transmission. Behind KP it is suspended only on one traverse (shooter) which needs to be removed completely.

Front-wheel models

The car needs to be lifted and fixed so that you could work both in a motor compartment, and under the car bottom. KP is removed in the direction down.


  1. To remove a wire of connection with "mass" of the accumulator.
  2. To remove three top bolts connecting the engine and KP.
  3. To turn off the wire connecting to KP body — "weight".
  4. To remove the plug of the sensor of turns on KP; for this purpose to wring out plug clips. To repeat the same with the plug to the switch of headlights of a backing.
  5. To weaken conducting bandages, to separate plug connection to a lambda probe.
  6. To disconnect the lower panel of a motor compartment (the head Elementy of a body).
  7. To disconnect a forward exhaust pipe from a collector, and also catalytic converter from the middle (main) muffler. To remove the corresponding part of the muffler.
  8. To remove back to a traverse.
  9. To remove a rod of a fork of gear shifting of KP.
  10. To disconnect procon-ten system cables from KP.
  11. To remove a protective leaf of the leading half shaft.
  12. To remove the leading half shafts on the right and to the left of KP, to unscrew hinges in the direction to the left (holding thus the ends of shaft) and to tie up both leaders of a half shaft.
  13. To remove the working cylinder of the hydraulic drive of coupling; the pipeline can remain connected.
  14. To prop up the top end of a steering bipod.
  15. To protect the engine supports from capsizing forward or back.
  16. To bring from below under KP a garage jack.
  17. To remove KP and a forward support of the engine.
  18. To turn out the lower bolts connecting the engine and KP.
  19. Carefully to wring out KP from the engine by means of mount.
  20. Now on a jack carefully to lower KP.
  21. For installation to clear shlitsevy connection of primary shaft of KP and to grease with MoS2 paste or jellied V.A.G. G greasing 000 100.
  22. To check, whether the directing plugs for centering of KP entered the block of cylinders of the engine.
  23. To check and if necessary to adjust gear shifting at the established KP.
  24. Models with the 6-cylinder engine: to bring KP case at the left above at an angle 30 °, differently the beating on an exhaust pipe is possible.
