Verification of indexes of turn and alarm light system
Continuous check
The alarm light system has to be constantly ready to work therefore its switch is powered through a safety lock directly from a positive pole of the battery. Indexes of turn, on the contrary, receive power supply from the plug 15 only at the included ignition.

- Press at the switched-off ignition the switch of the alarm system on the dashboard.
- All four indexes of turn, control bulb in the emergency signals switch and both indicators of indexes of turn have to start blinking in an identical rhythm.
- To switch off the light alarm system, to include ignition.
- By pressing the lever of indexes of turn one party of light indexes of turn and the green indicator of turn corresponding to the chosen direction have to blink regularly.

Malfunctions of indexes of turn
- If at the included indexes of turn the green indicator blinks in the accelerated rhythm, so one of glow lamps fused. At refusal of one of lamps of the alarm system it does not affect a blinking rhythm in any way. Replacement of lamps is described in the head Osveshcheniye.
- If at inclusion of indexes of turn or the light alarm system indicators burn constantly, so the relay of indexes of turn, see the following text is faulty.
- If indexes of turn blink that slowly, quickly, and all shtekerny connections, including a wire on "weight", as it should be, so it is necessary to replace the relay.
- If only the alarm light system, but not indexes of turn or on the contrary works, so through the corresponding safety lock food does not arrive (see tables in the head the Body electrical system) or the corresponding switch is faulty (removal see the head Pribory and auxiliary devices).
Removal of the breaker of indexes of turn
The relay of indexes of turn in the Audi 80 car is not in the central switchboard, and is attached by a bracket in the bottom of the dashboard at the left. Reason: the characteristic sound of interruption is so best of all audible. Below removal is described.

- To remove a shelf at the left below under the dashboard.
- To bring a hand under edge of the dashboard, to grope and pull out the relay with the connected wires
- To disconnect the multicontact plug.

Removal of the relay of indexes of turn

The movement with the faulty index of turn is not such safe as in a dense stream of cars, and first of all in the dark, your intention to turn will be not absolutely clear for other participants of traffic. In this case:

- To remove the relay of indexes of turn (see the previous section) and to disconnect the plug.
- To establish between plugs 49 and 49a a crossing point.
- For this purpose to twist with an office paper clip or a short wire the called shtekerny uvulas on the relay and again to insert it.
- At the pressed lever of the index of turns of a lamp will constantly burn now.
- Switching on and off them the lever, you will be able to achieve a rhythmical blinking.
